Fogg Cap Sorting Updates
Nov 16, 2021Holland, MI, November 16, 2021 – Fogg Filler is continually focused on improving technology that better serves our customers and the environment. Fogg has made multiple upgrades to cap sorting equipment including VSE cap sorters with new lowered load heights, a floor mounted pocket sorter that is in development, and a tote dumper that now accommodates taller totes.
Fogg has lowered the load height on VSE cap sorters to be more ergonomic and user friendly. These load heights now range from 42-47 inches, making them approximately 13 inches shorter than the older models. These are much easier to load caps into. Operators no longer need a platform or ladders to load and re-load their sorters. This lowered feature is also retrofittable for all Fogg VSE sorters already running in production.
Fogg recently released the FMZ-24 cap sorter creating a floor mounted option for sorting caps with Fogg's Z-24 sorter. The Fogg engineering team is currently working to apply this floor mounted feature to other cap sorters as well. Fogg is currently developing a floor mounted FPS-48 pocket sorter for sorting both ROPP caps and T-corks.
Fogg's new option for tote dumpers accommodates a wider variety of tote sizes. The tote dumper's height has been extended to accommodate taller totes and comes with removeable adapters for raising the shorter totes so that they may be run on the same machine. You can now run both sizes with minimal changeover.
