Fogg Introduces a
Medium Intensity Microb-Blaster

Holland, Michigan... Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, has introduced a new Medium Intensity Microb-Blaster.

Fogg has previously made Low and High Intensity versions of the Microb-Blaster and this Medium Intensity has proved beneficial in many applications. The Medium Intensity Microb-Blaster is a UV Sanitizer. It has been designed to kill 50% - 99.99% of food spoilage, mold spores, and yeast. By using Fogg’s unique technology it can sanitize almost anything. It is chemical free, dry, and residue free, which eliminates the need for a supply chemical system and chemical disposal. It will achieve .5 - 5 log reductions depending on the application. You can also use multiple units in a series to achieve additional log reduction.

The cap system, shown below, is located in the track which transports caps from the feeder/elevator to the capper. It uses infeed and discharge escapements with sensors to ensure that the amount of exposure time is controlled in a fail –safe manner. A PLC controls the overall operation of the system. This system can sanitize caps with speeds up to 800 caps per minute.

The Medium Intensity Microb-Blaster has very low operating costs and is capable of being retrofitted to nearly any line!
