Fogg Co. Introduces a New Addition to Extream Clean:
the High Speed Microb-Blaster Cap Sanitizer!
 

Holland, Michigan…Fogg Co., a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, has introduced a High Speed Microb-Blaster. The Fogg High Speed Microb-Blaster has been created so that high speed, 2-6 log reductions of micro-organisms can be achieved.

As customers have an increasing need for greater sanitation of their products or packages, Fogg Co. has stepped up to the market demands with a system capable of sanitizing bottles or caps in a dry, residue free environment, which eliminates the need for a supply chemical system and chemical disposal. The Fogg High Speed Microb-Blaster (patent pending) does just that. It is designed to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of undesirable live micro-organisms in the bottles and/or caps.

The cap system, shown below, is located in the track which transports caps from the feeder/elevator to the capper. It uses infeed and discharge escapements with sensors to ensure that the amount of exposure time is controlled in a fail –safe manner. A PLC controls the overall operation of the system. This system can sanitize caps with speeds up to 1200 caps per minute and be retrofitted to any existing filler the customer might already have!
